Gaza Envelope Tour with October 7th survivor

Join tour guide Amit Musaei, a survivor of the terror attacks of October 7th, and a professional tour guide on an insightful journey through the Gaza envelope area. As Amit shares his experiences, you will gain a deeper understanding of the history of the conflict and the challenges faced by locals since October 7th.

The tour begins with an introduction to the geopolitics of Gaza and the contemporary history of the conflict. Upon arrival in Sderot, enjoy a coffee break before heading to Sderot’s lookout. From this vantage point, you can appreciate the proximity to the Gaza border and take in view of Gaza’s northern areas, including Jabalia, Beit Hanoun, and Gaza City, as well as Israel’s southern coastal cities: Ashdod and Ashkelon.

From the lookout point, we will drive through the old and new neighborhoods of Sderot, learning about the community’s resilience and defense challenges. Stop by a unique resilience play park and see Sderot’s Menorah made from repurposed “Kasam” rockets, to learn about the artillery attacks over the town and Israel. Another short drive will bring us to the site of Sderot’s former police headquarters, where Amit will share stories about its significance and the community’s efforts to rebuild.

Next, we will drive about 20 minutes to the Reim rest area, located between Kibbutz Beeri and Kibbutz Reim. This is the location where the Nova music festival was held. Here, Amit will share his personal story and provide insights into the community’s experiences. You will have time to visit temporary memorials created by family and friends of the victims. Time permitting, we will visit an exhibit of burnt and damaged cars, a visual testimony to recent events.

The last stop on the tour is the bomb shelter at the entrance to Kibbutz Mefalsim, where his close friends were killed during the attack. Here, Amit will share his personal story from October 7th and recount the events that took place at this location. From Mefalsim, we will drive back.

Throughout the tour, Amit will share his personal story about the events, providing educational insights and a heartfelt perspective on the history and resilience of the Gaza envelope area.
